To do just that, Bar Blanche's brewers did not revert to classic lemon or apple peels but eyed the other side of the world and discovered the perfect companion in the rare Japanese citrus fruit yuzu. This citrus fruit is widely used in Japanese cuisine because of its unique flavour profile, which lies somewhere between lime and grapefruit. Combining this exotic ingredient with the familiar Belgian white beer tradition is a great way to explore the boundaries of beer brewing. Result?
