Silver for Bar Blanche at the Brussels Beer Challenge

The annual, international Brussels Beer Challenge was held for the tenth time this year in the Belgian capital. The anniversary edition of this beer competition had a record number of participants: no less than 1800 beers from 35 different countries were sampled by the professional jury. In the white beer category, our Bar Blanche was awarded the silver medal. Bar Blanche shares its second place with Hoegaarden White, Grimbergen Blanche took gold and Vedett Extra White and Blanche de Charleroi Bio completed the podium with a shared third place.

The Brussels Beer Challenge is no mere beer competition. In fact, it was the first professional beer competition in Belgium, with its debut at the Beursschouwburg in Brussels. Over the years, the event has taken place at various locations and has become a prestigious competition with international interest. Nowadays, The Brussels Beer Challenge is known as a professional competition.

Craftsmanship

Given the large number of participating beers, it takes three days for the professional jury to taste and judge them all. The jury is composed of renowned beer experts from all over the world who analyze the beers in an expert manner. In addition, the Brussels Beer Challenge also serves as a networking platform where brewers can present their own beers and thus learn about other beers. The international attention brings new potential markets as well.
